The heating works pretty well but being a large country house please don't expect to walk around in a t-shirt in the middle of winter! The wood pellets are an unusual fuel for Scotland and was chosen as a fuel source because they are from a renewable resource. The stove, nicknamed HAL, provides a nice fire to sit in front of in the main common room.

*Wild in Scotland tour groups are in on Thursday, Friday & Saturdays from October to April and Friday, Saturday, Monday and Tuesday May to September. 2 courses for £7.50 may be available on these night - please ask!
